I aim to explore the role cinematographic representation plays in our experience of architecture.
Digital media plays a central role in creating the film. Developing every aspect of what the audience sees and hears is essential to immerse them in the representation and content. In this clip, the main characters are the three most remarkable buildings in
New York City.
Two dominant styles of NYC representation blend and create a lens that viewers can use to perceive architecture and the atmosphere it portrays. Film Noir and Neo-Noir became necessary for their tendencies to help focus on specific details and generate unreal spatial qualities. It creates an atmosphere in a way that print media cannot due to its unique qualities of time passage and sounds. All these elements combine to create a recognizable yet completely unique and novel representation of the city. I continue searching for ways to push the boundaries of realism & capture a surrealistic illustration of the external world.
